If a customer makes a claim on their main Home Insurance policy, they are usually liable to pay an Excess. Excess Protect ensures the customer will be reimbursed their Excess up to the limit selected. Home Excess protect works alongside their main policy and may allow the customer to save money on their main Home Insurance premium by opting for a higher Excess.
Cover is provided for the excess that they are responsible for following the successful settlement under their Home Insurance Policy.
- The customer will be reimbursed any Excess payment for which they have been made liable up to the Annual Aggregate Limit insured under the policy.
- Cover will only operate when the Excess of their Home Insurance Policy is exceeded and following the successful claim payment.
